The Annual Autumn competition has just completed with 6 weeks of enjoyable, competitive play. Players were grouped into three grades and players at the top and bottom of each grade were moved up or down respectively for the next week’s play. As such it is a bit difficult to decide who the top players were in each grade except for the A grade.
Andrew was the best player overall in the A grade. Nathan won the first round but was unable to play after that. Greg and Richard were also mid table while Deb, Wayne and Isaac also competed strongly with Tom, Yuliya, Jeremy Smith and Mark coming up from the B grade to play there too.
In the B grade Jeremy, Tom, Mark and Isaac were always at or the near the top, when they were not promoted to the A grade and Peter, Ken, Aatman, Slade and Maurice played there too, coming up from the C grade.
C grade was evenly contested with Vaughan, Keith, and Alex always giving the others a good tussle.
Our young players; Slade, Ken, Peter and Aatman are improving fast, obviously benefitting from the coaching Nathan is giving them.
It was a very enjoyable competition with all games played in a good spirit.
