Our Winter Interclub 15 week competition finished on Wednesday night and some fantastic games took place to finalise placings for 2023.
In A grade Gore Town & Country took out the Title for the second straight year in beating IWMC Red by 5 Matches to 0. Both teams were on the same points leading up to the final week, so this result decided the winner for 2023. Both Willie Brocks and Edwin Nieman finished unbeaten for 2023 on 100% . Blair Davies from IWMC Red finished in third place in the averages with 82.6%.
In B grade we had a finals night for week 15. The top 2 teams met in the final, in an upset Eagles 3 narrowly won by 3 matches to 2 with the game going to the final doubles for a result. The team of Mark Moore and Tom Giller proved too strong on the night for their counterparts Luke Harvey and Michael Mackway Jones of IWMC Blue. Leading averages for B Grade were Mark Moore on 93.8 percent only losing 1 game all season, Keith Pyne 81.3% and Luke Harvey in 3rd place on 80%.
